The 85th North Texas Fair and Rodeo will take place for nine days, from August 16 to 24, at the North Texas Fairgrounds, in Denton. Live concerts, nightly Professional Rodeo Cowboy Association rodeo events, a midway with rides for all ages, carnival games, a parade, the rodeo queen contest, a beauty pageant, and a kid’s zone
with pony rides and petting zoo will provide entertainment. Festival food like cotton candy, fresh squeezed lemonade, corn dogs and nachos, add to the fun and experience.
Top national singers and groups including Casey Donahew, Josh Abbott and Neal McCoy will perform live music nightly. New to the fair this year, the Amazing Rain Forest will transport fairgoers to a pristine jungle and eye-to-eye with rare and endangered creatures. The fair also offers 110,000 square feet of misted, shaded and airconditioned areas available to get out of the heat and enjoy art, crafts, photography entries and vendor booths.
Admission is $15 for adults; $5 for children 7 to12; and free admission for children 6 and under. Admission includes rodeo events and concert. Parking is $5.
