HealthWorks: A Family Wellness Center, in Plano, is offering a New Year, New You workshop on January 15, focused on setting health goals and actually achieving them. As the year draws to a close and resolutions are formulated for a better new year, statistics show that one-third of the goals made surround health, with only about half of those resolutions being kept for the long term.
The workshop will explore the “pyramid of health”, working up from foundational issues all the way to optimization action steps. Discussions will cover how to move well, eat well and think well. As areas of health are discussed, attendees will begin to recognize personal areas of weakness. Once individual weaknesses have been identified, attendees prioritize their top three and recommendations will be made for each category in an easy, step-by-step approach to healing, providing the tools to grow their health from where they are to where they want to be.
This workshop is fun and interactive. Attend with a spouse or a friend for mutual support and achieve goals together as a team. Participants will receive instruction in creating their own unique plan focusing on nutrition and a healthy new year.
The workshop will be held January 15, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. There is no fee to attend but space is limited, so RSVPs are required.
Location: 2317 Coit Rd., Ste. B, Plano. For more information or to RSVP (required), call 972-612-1800 or visit HealthWorksTX.com.
