The fifth annual Connemara Conservancy fundraiser, Into the Meadow, will feature the culinary creations of award winning Chef Kent Rathbun, of Kent Rathbun Concepts, under the stars with live entertainment, auction and dancing at 5 p.m., September 20, at the Connemara Meadow Preserve, in Allen, Texas.
Nominated for the prestigious James Beard Award, Rathbun most notably worked at Mr. B’s, in New Orleans, American Restaurant and Milano, in Kansas City, The Mansion on Turtle Creek, in Dallas, and the Landmark Restaurant, in Dallas. He is the creator of Abacus, Jaspers, Rathbun’s Blue Plate Kitchen, Kent Rathbun Catering and KB’s.
Since 2010, Into The Meadow has become Connemara’s signature fundraising event, celebrating locally produced food and the conservancy’s mission of preserving and protecting open space throughout North Texas. Connemara works closely with farmers, ranchers and other landowners as well as local governments and forward-thinking developers on land preservation.
