The fifth annual M-o-o-ving Thru’ The Mud With Landon mud run, hosted by Circle N Dairy, will be held May 21 to raise funds for the nonprofit Hope for Hypothalamic Hamartomas. Money raised will provide medical treatment and research for children fighting this disease, which is a form of brain lesion.
Gates open at 9 a.m. for the kid-friendly mud run. The main event is from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on a working dairy farm with obstacles designed for children 4 to 15 years old. The kids will be challenged by a course of 10 farm-themed impediments, including a tunnel crawl, rope swing, pig pen, great calf escape and tractor tire dive. There will also be hayrides, face painting, calf petting and other fun activities. Participants are encouraged to bring a towel and change of clothes.
Registration is $20 before Apr. 30 and includes a T-shirt, goodie bag and lunch; $25 after May 1, $5 for lunch only. After Apr. 30, runners may get a T-shirt, but no guarantee. No pets allowed. Location: 2074 CR 446, outside Lindsay. To register, visit MudWithLandon.com or call 940-372-0343 for more information.
