Heard Holiday Trail of Lights; The Beauty of the Season Outdoors

Experience the most unique holiday lighting display in North Texas at the fifth annual Heard Holiday Trail of Lights, held December 14, 20 and 21. See thousands of holiday lights, many synchronized to holiday music, celebrating the beauty of the season along a half-mile Heard nature trail.

Family-friendly entertainment, strolling carolers and entertainers complement the holiday atmosphere. Listen to live holiday music in the Heard Museum outdoor amphitheater performed by local groups. Have a photo taken with Father Christmas and Mother Nature in a festive setting and enjoy hot beverages and treats.

Nearly 4,000 people are expected to attend this fundraiser for The Heard Natural Science Museum and Wildlife Sanctuary. Founded in 1967, the preserve is a place where nature and people come together through education, emphasizing an appreciation of nature and its conservation.

Activities run from 6:30 to 9 p.m. Admission is $9 for adults and $6 for children 3 to 12. Children 2 and under are free. Purchase advanced tickets online and save $2 per ticket.

Location: 1 Nature Place, McKinney. For more information, call 972-562-5566 or to purchase discounted advance tickets, visit HeardMuseum.org.
