A German Christmas Celebrates With Texas Style

Enjoy the festive spirit of Christmas, the sounds of strolling carolers and the ethnic flavor of a Texas German Christmas from December 13 to 15, in Old Town Tomball. An open-air market features 175 street vendors of German Christmas items, antiques, arts and crafts, as well as food vendors with traditional German food

 and drink including Gluhwein, breads and pastry, red cabbage sauerkraut and apple strudel. American festival foods like funnel cake, corn dogs, hot dogs, hamburgers and Kettle Korn are also available.

Four stages of live music, street performers, a traditional Dutch Santa, clowns, jugglers, strolling entertainers and Santa Clause and his elves all provide entertainment. For children, Kinderfest includes carnival rides, bungee jumping, a rock wall, a petting zoo, walk on water and pony rides. A free hayride and Christmas lights tour is offered at the museum district.

The festival runs Friday from 6 to 10 p.m., Saturday from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Festival admission, parking and shuttle are free. Strolling entertainers and characters welcome free photo request.
